Description
A substantial part of my organ building design work, was the design of the mechanisms of the organ that allowed it to play in response to the actions of the organist. Not only do these mechanisms need to work, they must also integrate with the larger structure of the organ, to create a musical and serviceable whole within the limited space available. Organ designs were executed in both 2D and 3D AutoCAD. I worked closely with the teams responsible for building each instrument, and provided them with design documentation from which to work. Many parts detailed in AutoCAD were cut with CNC equipment.
